We were once dead, but are raised again to sojourn with you in the community of believers. Give us wisdom and desire to live each day to the fullest in this land of our sojourn and greet each other in a good way.
We were once dead, but are raised again to sojourn with you in the community of believers. Give us wisdom and desire to live each day to the fullest in this land of our sojourn and greet each other in a good way.
You are the God who sees us and knows what we need. You provide friends to accompany us back to you and a loving community. Because of our relationship with you, we can empty our bitterness, hurt, and disappointments, so that you can fill us with hope and your gentle presence.
We journey with you along your Ancient Path from Jericho into the countryside. We, who were once blind, cried out to you from the ditches. You compassionately healed us. Now, we follow you and invite others to join us.
We keep our eyes on you and listen for your voice to guide us. We will not return to the depths and darkness of despair, because you are with us. We will remain with you, and marvel at your wondrous ways.
Loving Yahweh, we are blessed because we are your chosen, holy people, your instruments to do your work. We get rid of our arrogance, spitefulness, hatred, and anger. We wrap ourselves with your love and kindness. May we stay with you and obey you.
We enter your sacred prayer space, weary from trials and challenges of those who have judged us. You open our eyes to your truth, and we are amazed. We feel ashamed for the way we have behaved toward you, but you restore us with new life and purpose full of blessings.
Twenty-second Week After Pentecost, Saturday, October 26, 2024 Today, we invite you to reread, rest and reflect on the prayers…
We commit to learning the truth about the sins of our ancestors. Give us strength to admit the truth to ourselves, you, and others. Give us the courage to reconcile with those who feel the result of generational wrongs, so we can journey together in a good way.
We come into your presence singing your praises. You are here waiting for us to come and share how we are doing and what is going on in our lives. Thank you for delivering us from fears and anxieties. We are your blessed children.
We enter your sacred prayer space, blessed by your teachings. You have surrounded us with a community of believers; together, we have witnessed your teachings and guidance. You have called us to practise your ways with each other.
