Luke 9:1-6
Loving Yahweh, we are blessed because we are your chosen, holy people, your instruments to do your work. We get rid of our arrogance, spitefulness, hatred, and anger. We wrap ourselves with your love and kindness. May we stay with you and obey you.
In this sacred time with you, we empty ourselves of anger, jealousy, bitterness, evil, and judgemental attitudes. We are your vessels of love. Thank you for filling us with your joy and peace as we trust in you, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Who are we, LORD Our Righteous Saviour, that your promises would stretch not only to us, but to our households for all generations? We humbly receive all you have promised. Give us hearts that long for you, so we will turn our gratitude to generosity towards you, ourselves, and others.
Today, we invite you to reread, rest, and reflect on the prayers of the past week.
Lectionary Readings for Today: Weekly Review
Psalm 146, Ruth 2:10-14, Luke 10:25-37
Hedge us in, O LORD, when we scatter from your path and try to return to our old ways and household gods. Keep us anchored within your protective veil. Hem us to you; hold us fast. Let us see your glory and be amazed. We will participate in your great mystery and praise your name forever.
Give us wisdom to silence ourselves in your presence, so we will hear your voice and know your purpose. Guide us in your ways, so we will sojourn well upon your Ancient Path and greet each other in a good way.
