Give us understanding, so we will look with love upon others and celebrate with each other wherever we are on our journey with you. Bless us with overflowing kindness to ourselves and others, so we will greet each other in a good way.
We enter your sacred prayer space. Thank you for welcoming us with open arms. We long for you; we long to follow you, O LORD. You know the cries of our hearts. We seek to live righteous lives, guided by your will. We long to participate in your great mystery.
We enter your sacred prayer space. As you foretold, we see your followers scattering. Even in our own hearts, we have left you alone and retreated to our homes and household gods. But we feel you bringing us back to you again and again. Your love is relentless towards us.
We enter your sacred prayer space, longing for the day you will return in righteousness to deliver us from our circumstances. How long, O LORD, will we need to wait for your deliverance? How long until you establish your Kingdom of Peace?
You, Sovereign LORD, are gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love for us. You send prophets, mentors, and spiritual guides to us, warning us of the dangers lurking if we stray from your Ancient Path. We enter your sacred prayer space in search of your guidance and assurance.
