The Baptism of the Lord, Sunday, January 12, 2025
Loving Divine Family,
We feel challenged and pressed on all sides by the pressures and uncertainties of life. We enter your sacred prayer space and name each of our fears to you as you patiently and lovingly listen to us. Life-giving Spirit encircles us; she kisses and calms us. Your voice is the wind and thunder to us. You assure us we will be safe.
Elohim (Mighty Creator), thank you for hearing our cries for help. We experience your peace when we hear you say, “Do not be afraid.” Thank you for freeing us from bondage and redeeming us. Thank you for calling us by name and for being with us. We put our trust in you.
I hear your voice in the storm today, Mighty LORD, and thank you for…
Shelter us within your veil. Calm us from the fears that press upon us, so we will focus on your blessed assurance instead of past regrets and current and future uncertainties. We release our fears to you. Save us from these floods and fires.
With joy we praise you!
Amen!
Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
