First Week after the Epiphany, Thursday, January 16, 2025
Loving Divine Family,
We enter your sacred prayer space with the sins of our ancestors and this broken world upon us. Our generations follow an economy of money and possessions. But in this space, you share your perfect ways with us–ways of love, peace and charity. You reveal that we cannot purchase that which you have already given to us.
Loving God, your ways are not our ways. We confess our lust for power, reputation, and status. Thank you for your gentle reminder we are your beloved creation. You love us. Thank you, the Holy Spirit is a gift of grace, mercy, and intimacy. May we be conduits of your love and Spirit to bless others and not to control them. We love you.
I receive your Spirit today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…
Teach us your ways of generosity. Reveal your mysteries to us, so we will participate with clarity and abandon, even when your ways are beyond human reason and logic. We will be still, and be amazed.
With joy we praise you!
Amen!
