Nehemiah 9:6-15

Loving Divine Family,

We enter your sacred prayer space, longing to completely trust you. But we are blocked by many doubts. You invite us to recline with you; Life-giving Spirit presses her lips to our ears. We feel her breath on our cheeks and neck. Your voice thunders across the landscape as you recount the stories of how you journeyed with our ancestors since ancient days.

God of comfort, another liturgical year is over. There is chaos and devastation all around us. We stop and become aware of our breathing. Your breath gives and sustains life. Praise to you, you keep your promises. Thank you for feeding us and giving us your Sabbath rest. We worship you.

I feel your breath of life upon me today, Loving LORD, and thank you for…

At every turn, we see the Faith-markers of our ancestors. Reminders of when they paused and worshipped you along your Ancient Path. We see their faith and your faithfulness. May all who come behind us also find us faithful.

With joy we praise you!

Amen!

Cherie and Donovan Mutschler
