We enter your sacred prayer space, feeling like we are behind enemy lines. The Intruder threatens to overcome and capture us. It seems everything we do is turned against us; words and actions fall short of our expectations and hopes. But we continue to call out to you in the wilderness.

Uphold us with your love as we journey together upon your Ancient Path. Keep us from harm, so we will give to others out of love and abundance. Remove us from the snares of the wicked, so we will remain watchful for your guidance.

We gather before your Water Gate. We are broken and helpless. We need your healing. We enter your sacred prayer space, where you reveal that you have already provided all we need. We find new energy in you, stop complaining, and put on our garments of praise.

Fire, storms, and floods consume our enemies before you. At your command, your adversaries are swept away. You sustain us within your veil. Though the earth quakes, mountains crumble, and waters roar and foam; you are with us and are our refuge.

With joy we praise you!

Give us understanding, so we will look with love upon others and celebrate with each other wherever we are on our journey with you. Bless us with overflowing kindness to ourselves and others, so we will greet each other in a good way.

Since before we were born, you are our God. You placed your dream within us. You prepared the way for us. Thanks be to you, for we are forever in your embrace.
